A swerving driver in a 2013 Honda Civic on Route 7 in Wilton near the Zion Hill Church was stopped by officers at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, after he was spotted crossing the double yellow lines, prompting the traffic stop.
During the subsequent stop, police said that the driver, Wilton resident David Timothy Csordas, 29, displayed signs of being intoxicated and failed several Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
Csordas was taken into custody and at Wilton Police Headquarters, a breathalyzer determined he had a blood alcohol content of .1047 percent. Csordas was arrested and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and cited for failure to maintain his lane. Csordas was released on a $260 bond and scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, Dec. 30.
